Before you decide to work with me, I want to take a moment for you to get to know me beyond the "About" page. It is important for you to have clarity before we work together. Below is a simple quiz for you to dig deeper into your desires and for me to see if we are in tune with one another.
Who is Mary? I grew up in a in a commuter town about 60 miles west of New York City, in Connecticut. I never truly fit inside a box. In school, I was the poor girl living in an affluent town. I was the average student who truly didn't learn the way they taught but was a brilliant writer. My high school English teacher wrote on my college reference letter: "I have never had a student like Mary. She is unique, sees things others do not, and picks up on the nuances of life's plot per person." At 17, I did not know what that meant but it felt important. As if I had finally been seen. The wallflower was finally seen and understood.
In 2000, I left an abusive marriage with only $5, a toddler and a desire to never live under abuse again. I had allowed my internal voice to be acted out through the actions of another. It was time to stop the cycle.
Over the past 22 years, I have studied many different world religions, experienced every role of motherhood possible (single, step, full bio, married). I have fought against situational depression and anxiety. I have been the trailblazer for one of my children who has autism/OCD/bipolar 2/C-PTSD/chronic depression/6 anxiety disorders and the other who has dyslexia/dyscalculia/dysgraphia/anxiety/6 vision disorders.
This lead me down the path of using methodologies not taught by doctors, therapists or other professionals with letters behind their name, caught in the ego of the "white coat." Instead, my armor and battle cry was that of boundaries, unconditional love, support, exploration of self-expression and a basis in healthy options for the body, mind and spirit.
The reason I use integrated methodologies of herbs, oils, crystals, food, boundaries and unconditional love toward self and others is because when we are healthy inside our gut and our mind, we are healthy in our relationship with self and others.
My style is not common. I am real. I am honest. I do not blow smoke up your arse. I swear. I see life and situations in a way many others do not. I tell it like it is. As a friend of mine I met at age 5 says: "I call Mary when I need to hear the truth. She sees through the bullshit and calls me on it."
I am a best selling author, award winning blogger, keynote speaker, mother, daughter, wife, animal lover, dog owner who believes that our thoughts are our choice.
I work with people, and companies, who are committed to accessing their power to use their lives both personally and professionally in a way which encompasses self reflection, insight, action and ownership for one's emotions and behaviors.
The following questions are going to give you the opportunity to tell me more about yourself and help you clarify how we can work together in harmony.
